Will Imran Khan be Release or Government Impose more Sanctions?

This will be an untold prediction about former PM Imran Khan, more than hundreds of cases filed in all of Pakistan on him – if Imran gets bail in one case, he is arrested in another case. As of information, approximately 150+ cases have been filed against former PM Imran Khan. He and his wife were sent to jail for 14 years in a state gift case. Khan was sentenced to 10 years in the Cipher Case, he said that the US government and Pakistan Military had ended his government when he went for a Russia visit, but the Pakistan military and the USA government denied his allegations.

On 23rd August 2023, Imran Khan was arrested in the case of Toshakhana for 3 years while he was politically disqualified for 5 years. Actually, Imran Khan has been in political shock since the end of his government. He blamed different political leaders for corruption in the country, during his government known political leaders were arrested, including Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and other political leaders.

Future of Imran Khan

PTI Party Banned

The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to ban the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), in the 2023 general election the ECP didn’t issue the party symbol to PTI as it was banned from participating in any upcoming election. All PTI candidates were part of the general election as Independent Candidates. But the majority was of Independent candidates from the PTI side in Punjab and KP provinces.

Some political leaders lost their seats in Lahore and Islamabad in opposition to independent candidates of PTI. The election ended and results were announced but no one party could create the government because any single party didn’t have the required number of National Assembly. To form the government in the capital, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN), JUI and other parties established a joint government.

Under the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif, they decided to select Shahbaz Sharif as Prime Minister and Asif Ali Zardari as President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Later in the election, the government imposed more sanctions on the PTI Party and its leadership.

Still, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan, the PTI is not a political party. PTI has contacted the courts regarding its party symbol. PTI tried to convince Suni Ithad Council to come out in support of PTI to establish the government, but it wasn’t possible due to government rules and regulations.

Will Khan be released?

Sources revealed that his release from jail may be possible, but he is involved in many cases countrywide, which indicates that it may not be possible for Khan to be released in a few days or months. He can only go through the legal process to face all resistance. His wife Bushra Bibi is free from jail in state gift and other cases. Barrister Gohar is taking legal steps to ensure the release of Khan.

Impact of “Final Call” Protest on Party

The party leadership is facing more difficulties after the recent protest in Islamabad. As per Imran Khan’s directives, Barrister Ali Gohar was dismissed from the party president seat. Khan also cancelled Salman Akram Raja’s party membership. Sources added that Asad Qaiser will be the Party president, while other changes will be announced soon.
