Pakistan has in inflation since 2018 when Imran Khan was elected as the prime minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the inflation raised and yet it is not decreasing as it should. Political tensions in Pakistan have impacted the economy and increased the nation’s inflation. The inflation has increased rapidly between 2018 and 2023, during five years, the government of Imran Khan was ended – the reason behind it was a failure of management and the opposition brought a no-confidence motion to end the government of Imran Khan.
After a no-confidence motion, all parties government came into power with a combination of PPP, PML (N), JUI and others. There was only reason for the end of Imran Khan’s government was the refusal of the establishment to save his government. Imran Khan made an anti-American statement which was considered an external source, in his speeches Imran Khan blamed America and the establishment that had ended his government.
Imran Khan became more popular after bein out from the government, according to a survey taken by Gallup, about 61% of Pakistanis like Imran Khan while 36% shared positive opinions about PML(N) & PPP. After being removed, Khan dissolved the KPK and Punjab assemblies and started the movement for a new general election before its time.

Without the PTI party, no one part could make his government federal. There was a low number in the national assemblies for PPP and PML, and no single party couldn’t make the government without the support of another party. After the election, both parties, PMLN and PPP had made join a government with the help of Maulana-Fazul-Rehman (JUI) who always played a major role in any side he stood for.
PPP and PMLN agreed on electing Shahbaz Sharif as Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Asif Ali Zardari as President of Pakistan. The Pakistan Muslim League-N made its government in Punjab province, PTI manage the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in Balochistan & Sindh PPP made its government.
Inflation Face by Nation
On both sides of politics, the nation is used for political purposes, if a party want to win the election it will use the people and play an important with the weakness of the nation to get more votes. Another side the opposition party is using the nation against the government by playing different cards of inflation, and corruption and wanting to destroy the government. In Pakistan’s politics, there’s no future political and democracy.
Any political party doesn’t think about the economy of the country and its future, usually, a government can stay in power for five years only. Unfortunately, it hasn’t completed a five-year government yet, so it can be understood that politics is not independent in Pakistan. In 2023, Pakistan faced high inflation in the country, the prices of sugar, cooking oil, fuel, and petroleum products were highly increased and the nation was very frustrated with managing their life even poor people were worried for food at one time.
Due to limited income sources, middle-class people couldn’t survive and they faced more income difficulties – overall in the country, businessmen were frosted due to the high costs of electricity bills, shop rent and other financial burden. On the other hand, thousands of graduated and diploma pass candidates are unemployed yet, there’s no suitable job for them.
