India is stand on his stubborn on its decision to do not play ICC Champions Trophy 2025 matches in Pakistan, the event is hosted by Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board has taken all efforts to host all events matches in Pakistan country, and earlier have started construction work of stadium in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan.
The construction work is near to complete, PCB is willing to complete the event in Pakistan and there no any one match will be played on hybrid model. In a statement, PCB has addressed that if India do not want to play ICC Champions Trophy 2025 matches in Pakistan then can stay at home and we do not have any hybrid model for them.
Further he added, previously Pakistan team has gone India to play World Cup matches. Pakistan haven’t involved politics in sports, uf India involves it then we will stop playing with India in any upcoming event.
Clearance of India’s Refusal On ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Officially, India have not send any written-letter to ICC and Pakistan regarding the traveling issues. PCB have already offer the some options for India to play matches in Pakistan, in a statement PCB have offered out-back travel option through Wagha-border. It was offered that India can play its match and then go back to country for stay.
Yet, India have not express the agreement on this decision. Basically, India want to play its all matches out of Pakistan due to the political problem. PCB and ICC has not got final decision from Indian government, the Indian government does not grant permission for ICC Champion Trophy 2025.

PCB Mohsin Naqvi who is performing as a Interior Minister said “If India has any problem or misunderstanding then they should to talk with us and address their issues we will resolve it. But the Champion Trophy will be held in Pakistan, if India do not come to India, there’s option to replace India with any team like West Indies or any.
Further Naqvi said I’m in directly contacting with ICC on this matter, he shared views on a question that, Sport and politics should be sperate, don’t involve sport in politics. On the request of International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan has removed some cities of Jammu & Kashmir where event’s matches are scheduled.
Why India Refusing to Play in Pakistan?
The question raising on internet, previously Pakistan have played the ICC World Cup 2023 matches in India and Pakistan hadn’t any excuse to refuse to play in India. Sports experts said that If Pakistan have played its matches without any politics tension then India should to do same to avoid interruption of politics in sport.
Additionally, Indian revised the past incidents – two neighbors countries faces problems each other due to the 1947 partition and other side Indian government blamed that Pakistan have support in Mumbai Attack and Parliament attack. After the attacks India decided to do not play bilateral series with Pakistan without international tournaments. yet Pakistan and India have not played any bilateral series only due to this.
In addition to this, India has accused the Pulwama and Balakot attacks on Pakistan. It was also very shameful, Pakistan was lost his authority to host international matches after the attack on Sri Lanka team in Lahore in 2009. But India do not come to Pakistan due to security and politics issues.
The matter between two countries may cause of cancellation of ICC event or may be moved its matches to hybrid model. According to a report, ICC have not announced the tournament schedule yet, if the schedule is not announced before 90days, then ICC will face loss of sponsors who advertise more ads in the PAK vs IND match.
Pakistan government ensuring India and all other international teams for security and night stay in Pakistan with safe place and environment. It has also ensured there’s no any security concern they will face. PCB is focusing on repairing work of stadiums which are seems to be complete soon by the end of December 2024.
It is not be announced the matches details soon, it was asked by Indian journalist to Nawaz Sharif when SCEO held in Pakistan, Nawaz said “Indian government should to gran permission to cricket tam for Champion Trophy 2025, we are neighbors countries and our relations always remained positive with Modi’s government”.
Hybrid Model for India
The hybrid model is best option for both teams to play its matches on natural venue, India have concern on security in Pakistan as per previously faced attacks in Karachi in 2008. But now, everything is changed – Pakistan has invited seven teams in previous years to open doors for international cricket in Pakistan.
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman’s offers “Dubai” as “Hybrid Model” While he demand strongly to ICC that Pakistan will play its upcoming matches which will be hosted by India will play on “Hybrid Model”. Both men’s and women’s team will play its matches on hybrid model.
