Women’s role in education is considered a world-changing role, someone said “If a Women educated that means the entire society is educated”. Women teach their children in the easiest way rather than men, with love and respect women can transform the lives of their children, husbands and families if she is educated. In our family, a woman plays the role of mother, sister, or daughter.

If you give proper attention to her education and development of career she can produce knowledge and improve society through its improvements and education. Unfortunately in Pakistan, you’ll see fewer women who are well-educated and are involved in the education sector. Look at the background of women’s and their bravery in the education filed.

Every 8th March, Women’s Day is celebrated all over the world. That day empowers women’s rights and freedom. The vision is to share real and inspirational journeys of women to help new generations play their roles as well in the education sector. When we argue on the role of women in the education field in the USA, Asian women face difficulties in life to work for society and country to evaluate it.

Additionally, there are several women who made efforts for the development of society and spreading education in privileged areas. Malala Yousifzai

From Mingora to Oxford University – she has revolute the education system for girls to empower them towards education. She was born on 12 July 1997 in Mangora, Pakistan. Her family background is very interesting, her father was a teacher in the village school where she belonged.

Initially, she got an education in primary school under her father’s instructions. She was extremely passionate about going to school and her father supported her every time to continue studying. She had written a post under the title “Gul Makai” to tell about her life when the Taliban banned on education of girls, they were issued an order that girls couldn’t not get an education in schools. She inspired and wrote detailed articles which were published on BBC Urdu in 2009.

Later in 2011, she received her first national Youth Peace Prize. A journalist Adam B. Ellick made a documentary about Malala in the New York Times. Gradually, she got opportunities for interviews in national and international media and she was also nominated for “International Children’s Peace Prize”.

She completed her secondary education at Edgbaston High School in Birmingham, England between 2013 to 2017. She didn’t stop to get higher education, at Linacre College Oxford – she got Bachelors of Arts degree in philosophy, politics and economics.

Her vision is to address girls’ issues specifically in the education field and support them to continue their education through her foundations. The foundation works for poor students and offers many facilities in the education field.

Zainab Salbi

Zainab Salbi is known as an Iraqi-American woman – as a writer, television show host, and podcaster. She raised the voices on the violence against women and her rights in the country. She was born in 1969 in Baghdad, Iraq – her mother was a biology teacher and her father was an Airline Pilot.

When she was 20 years old, her family sent her to America to arranged marriage but due to the allegations and abusive behaviour of her husband she left him – later she moved to Washington D.C where she started working as a “Translator”. In 1996, she chose a Palestinian-American Lawyer as a life partner – she became a US Citizen after the marriage.

She attended various programs about the women’s freedom and rights, she got the opportunity to discuss the work of international women on The Oprah Winfrey Show. In 2006, she was awarded with “Hilton Humanitarian Prize”. Salbi works for women’s freedom and independently can live life without facing different types of issues when they go out of the home, or in public places.

Her Show “The Calling” was broadcast in 22 countries – especially for Arab and other Muslim women. In broadcast programs with numerous people, she argues on its social issues, gender issues and others. American President Bill Clinton she invited to the White House for her passionate work for women and called a “21st Century Heroine”. She wrote various books like “The Other Side of War” & “Freedom Is an Inside Job”

Sheikha Moza

Sheikha Moza known as the “Moza Bint Nasser Al-Missned” was born in August 1959 in Qatar. She is the daughter of Nasser bin Abdullah Al-Missned former head of AL-Muhannada confederation Bani Hajer. Moza got a BA degree in Sociology in 1986 from Qatar University. Later she earned an MA degree in Public Policy (Islam) from Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

She chairs the “Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development” – the foundation improves the development of the education system, advancing the education in the country. Her dedicated efforts didn’t stop – she launched a program “Education Above All” globally to provide education to every child in the world where education facilities are very limited.

Ayesha Jalal

Ayesha Jalal a PhD holder Pakistani woman – was born in 1956 in Lahore. Later she moved to New York when she was 14 – because her father was appointed there in the United Nations. To facilitate and provide higher education the decision was made to reside in New York.

Finally, she got a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College in History and Political Science. Additionally, she has taught as a professor at Harvard University, Lahore University of Management Science, Columbia University and other universities.

She always shares her researched information on the history of the Partition of Pakistan and India, the role of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and British India history. Spreading the history of Islam and teaching Islamic courses was my passion. Through her collected information, she has written various books like “The Sole Spokesman” and “The Struggle of Pakistan”.

Women’s efforts are passionate everyone works hard for their goals to achieve success. In Pakistan, the less number of women were counted in the list of struggling women for their rights and freedom on national and international levels. Now in Pakistan, women lead the top companies, evaluated themselves to develop the ability to do something big as others can do.
